Images for a Natural Cosmetics Brand
Task: Create catalog and branding photos for a natural cosmetics brand's website and print materials.
The task required creating something original while staying within brand guidelines. The imagery had to fit horizontal, vertical, and banner formats.
Client: Flow Cosmetics is a Finnish family business selling natural cosmetics. The brand stands for honesty, ethics, and high-quality certified ingredients. Sounds too serious? Not at all. Flow is also about an optimistic, cheerful approach to life.
Branding Photography
What does the target audience want? Taking care of yourself without harming your health and relaxing after work. Therefore, the key message was "self-care can be effortless and fun."
To achieve this, I used a hand model to create a feeling of ease, show the size of the products, and add a sense of humanity. I also chose compositions with minimal props and a simple color background to focus attention on the product.
While I took several photos, the client selected the one above. As a result, the client received a layered PSD file that allows them to combine several products in one image or view them separately.

Catalog Photography
In addition to the final high-resolution JPEGs, I sent layered PSD files that allow changing the background color, adjusting reflections on the packaging, and adding gradients. So, I gave the client the photos and a flexible tool for their work.
